The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Thailand.  It’s a place of amazing memories, friends coming together, and other-worldly beauty. And, yes, tons of hard work.  But hard work shouldn’t be without a good time.  In a week i’ll be on a jet to Thailand with one of my favorite people; the ever-talented globe-hopper, Jeremy Stanley. 

These photos below are not descriptive of what the Thailand trip is all about, but i thought they were fun memories.  The trip is really all about serving serving serving the 600+ friends who come for a week of rejuvenation and refocus.  

 

I’m not even sure what to say about this guy.  He caught my eye at the night market just outside of McDonald’s.

Perhaps i’ll squeeze in an hour or two to read a book by the hotel pool.  With such a crazy schedule, i doubt it, but it’s a nice thought.

One of my favorite things: Incredible food with incredible friends!  Here we eat at the jungle restaurant with Nate Griffin and Stephen Proctor.  These two guys ooze talent and creativity and have hearts of gold.

And you can’t forget our Rotee stand!  Here’s the beautiful Jenn enjoing hers. It’s basically a grilled banana/chocolate pancake.  As the sign says, this stand just down the street from our hotel is, “The Best in ChiangMai.”  (Confession: I don’t actually like Rotee, but i liked this picture of Jenn & i know the Rotee is special to so many people)

    I was about to be jealous… raging with FOMO… b/c you think Jeremy Stanley must be the coolest person in the world… and yet Nate & I are the ones who introduced you to him… so I was wondering what that made us to you… but your “ooze talent & creativity” statement made up for it.
    That was a close one. whew

    And how did you manage to get Nate to smile for a picture? This is a rare treat.
    I must’ve been too focused on my lime beef stir fry. ha!

      You know i would LOVE to stop through HK and hang out for a few days!! I would take you to Australia Dairy Company for the best breakfast in town!! ;)
