4 Days to the Olympics

Olympic Hair Cut
(What the _____?? Maybe you haven’t understood why i love China… now you do.)

Ready or not, here it comes. The Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics are only 4 days away! I’m personally very excited, not just because it’s the olympics, but because of all the hype that has been surrounding China.

Countless times in China i was asked, “Do you think the olympics in China will be successful?” I think China is like a newlywed couple hosting their first Christmas dinner. They’re nervous and everything better be perfect or their reputation is ruined forever. I hope China will just take a deep breath and relax a little… it’s all going to be ok. I can’t wait to watch the events on TV, and i really wish i could be standing there in the thick of all the crowds watching China make their international debut.

That is great… I have been looking forward to the start of the Olympics for a long time, probably not as long as they have been though.

They look weird, but I like the idea! I wish China a big success on hosting the Olympics. Let’s pray for it…

China is a vital country.Chinese people are kind. There’s some prejudice in foreigners’ mind . Communication and understanding are needed. Maybe foreigners should come to China to look around. You’ll find not everything is what you get to know from the press.

I can’t wait! I love the Olympics especially the opening ceremonies. It always amazes me the creativity displayed by the hosting country. I know China’s ceremonies will be nothing less than spectacular and breathtaking. In fact, I’ll be in Birmingham that night up to my eyeballs in flowers, so Dad is going to record it for me, just in case I can’t be in front of a TV.
