I swear that sometimes i live inside a National Geographic magazine.
I’m tucked away in my new office/cafe and i have the best seat in the house. I’m sitting on the second floor, near the railing that is overlooking the first floor and out the window to the street. It’s 4 in the afternoon so the sun is beginning to set. The end of the small alley opens to the west so the sun rays explode down the alley and illuminate all the colors of the street. From my perspective it looks like someone is standing at the entrance of the alley with a spotlight. The explosion of light mixed with the snow covered vehicles makes for a scene too extravagant for me to know what to do with. It’s not a sunrise from the peak of Everest or the mist that hovers over the Alps. This is the beauty of the rawness of China. This is 3-wheeled egg carts, streets covered in snowy slush, men selling steamed buns on the street side, bicycles, colorful umbrellas, and then a bright light bursting down the alley illuminating everything to make all the colors pop and shine.
I can’t take my eyes off of it. I wrote this whole post with my eyes pointed out the window.

So where are the pictures. You write about the snow and the colors from a setting sun but no pictures. You forget, here in L.A. (Lower Alabama) we see snow about every 20 years! Drag out your camera and include some pictures!!
Love you!!

When I see visions like that it reminds me of how beautiful the Second Coming will be. We won’t be able to divert our eyes from His splendid beauty.
