Weekend Roundup

Ok, friendly readers, it’s time to roundup my weekend. The weekend started out with lots of plans. That changed.

Saturday i had plans to go to a nearby city with a handful of students to go to a coffee shop and hang out. They canceled. It’s ok, though, because i was able to finish grading and inputing final grades into my computer. And i played basketball.

Sunday i was supposed to go to the capital city, Jinan, to visit a close friend. He called to cancel because he wasn’t going to have any free time. Too bad. So i played basketball. I was also able to finally go to the Confucius Mansion. The mansion is the last of the three Confucius sites that i hadn’t been to. It was interesting, sort of. I took a few pictures that have more use as stock photos for future design projects.

That’s all. Nothing too exciting. But it was a lot of fun to play some basketball and get some good exercise.

What about you? What sort of exciting events filled your weekend?

So far it’s been a lot of typing, file, transfer, and watching Anime. Got hooked on FLCL and Death Note.

My weekend has been long and busy. It started on Thursday with flowers for Megan Holston’s wedding. And then Friday we continued with flowers and topped off the evening with finishing an eight foot floral cross in the sanctuary at about 11pm. Then Saturday we finished flowers for the reception, went to the wedding and reception, which was very nice by the way- good food. Had some great Shrimp and grits. This morning Dad and I went to church, had a late breakfast at IHOP and then went to see The Incredible Hulk. Entertaining. Just writing this makes me tired. I love you, Mom

    Ah, the weekend.

Friday night was spent practicing for a worship set my friend and I played this weekend. We wound up driving around for a while, too, and he attempted to teach me to drive stick shift. Might need a second lesson in that one…Saturday was quiet, and we practiced again/drove around again/wound up at a casino (not to gamble…it’s a long story). A bunch of us stayed up late and watched A Midsummer’s Night Dream. Got up stinkin’ early on Sunday to drive 40 miles to a church where we led worship. It was beautiful. I should blog about it (and FYI, you can catch all my blogger content on my Facebook…I’ll message you about that…)

Now I’m sitting quietly at my favorite little coffee shop and unwinding. Busy week ahead with a road trip to Colorado in t-minus 11 days. Hurrah!

I… can’t even remember my weekend. I know it was busy. I somehow juggled housesitting at 3 different houses while working at FUMC and the insurance office.
