My friend teaches some of the foreign teachers’ kids in Beijing. She sent me a message the other saying that one of her 6th grade students wrote a paper about his experience in Thailand during the Winter break. One of the highlights of his time in Thailand was when he saw me crowd surfing among a group of very crazy people. Without further ado, i give you his story:
We got there at ten o’clock pm and went to sleep. We got up and toured Bangkok. Next we went to Chiang Mai. We saw friends and went swimming a lot. We did tons of crazy things. We got ten pounds fatter.
We went to a concert. At first it was a pretty good concert, but by the end of the first song everyone was beyond insane. We jumped a lot. We screamed a lot. My friend, Biscuet, went crowd surfing twice. One guy picked him up and ran him through the crowd. About fifteen minutes later he went real crowd surfing. It was awesome.
The band was the one and only Safe Haven. You gotta check them out!
And about that same day, a different friend sent me this picture from that same night in Thailand!
