Great things have been taking shape during the last few days. I was in Phoenix yesterday for two very exciting meetings. The first one was with a group of musicians that we are bringing to Thailand to help us with our annual conference. These guys are remarkably humble, talented, and excited to join us in Thailand. They gave me a copy of their brand new CD and it is outstanding! I left the CD in my hotel room, but i’ll be sure to provide you a link to their music later.
After a great time with those guys i went over to meet the owner of one of the greatest coffee shops in the world. Seriously, in terms of flavor, freshness, service, and all around awesomeness, this guy has the best shop around. He was a real pleasure to hang out with. Then, i went into a meeting with a small group of investors who are some of most kind people i’ve ever had the chance to interact with. It would take a book if i were to write down all of my thoughts from that hour in that meeting room. Maybe another day.
All-in-all, let me just say that really cool things are shaping up. I’m not a hype machine. I don’t know how to build hype. I have no idea how to get people excited about an idea. But, i will say this, what happened yesterday in Phoenix left me more excited than i have been a long long time.
And now i’m in LA. I just left lunch with a friend who is doing some absolutely amazing work here in the city. I was so impressed by the facility where she works and teaches. I was encouraged by listening to her dreams for the future. This is one of the great benefits of traveling so much. I get to sit across from lunch tables and coffee tables with the coolest people in the world. Seriously, the coolest!
Tomorrow is Fort Collins, Colorado for a full day of meetings. Then back to Atlanta. Thanks for being on this journey with me. Exciting things are happening and we’re all in this together!
