The Things I See: Taiyuan

December 16, 2009

Here’s a little teaser video of what my experience was like in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China.

Taiyuan is a small city about 3 hours south of Beijing by train. Most foreigners know Taiyuan for it’s smog and coal dust, but i remember Taiyuan because of the remarkable teachers and their students. They are teaching in a primary school and they are doing a remarkable job. Taiyuan is one of those places where foreigners live and then talk about it for the rest of their lives. I hope you get a chance to visit one day.
